Marko Velk

1969

Marko Velk was born in 1969 in Split (Croatia) and grew up in Paris (France). He started his studies at the Atelier de Sèvres in Paris, continuing at the Parisian École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (1990–1995). He also spent a semester at Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London.

He came to New York in 2010, worked in Brooklyn until 2020 and returned to France where he lives and works today. He is especially known for his drawings with charcoal. Since 1990 he participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the USA.
